Dlux Fab 2026 Team Drivers

Welcome our 2026 Dlux Fab Team Drivers!

Jason Brakemeier

Team Captain

Jason Brakemeier- The Boss, the Big Kahuna, the driving force behind the innovation and design you know and love from Dlux Fab. Hailing from Shakopee Minnesota, he is the man with the plan. Coming from an engineering background, and 25+ years of experience designing and wheeling 1:1 jeep and racing suspension, he knows what's up. This experience allows him to bring all that combined knowledge in axle and suspension design to the R/C crawler world in a real way. His love and passion for the sport, and personal drive is what makes this all possible.

Matt Beest

Team Captain

I started with RC in my teens with a Losi XX buggy, that was cool but it sat more than I would like. Then life happened, and a few years later I found an Axial Ax10 scorpion in the local HobbyTown USA in late 2006 or 2007, Then I found the RCC forum, (RIP) 🙁. Won the local state Sportsman championship in 2009,(With a brake line tube buggy) and the rest is history. I was hooked! Been crawling ever since. I'm not going anywhere. The trucks are cool, but the people are cooler.

Thanks to the RC Crawler family that has brought us this far. Y'all know who you are, and we would not be here without you. Much love.

Luke Norman

My journey began in 2015 with my first Axial 1/10 scale. In 2018 I founded the Hot Springs Scale Crawlers here in Arkansas and began hosting competitions. In 2024 I turned that group over to some great guys to pursue bigger goals and currently Admin for the state group Arkansas RC Crawlers. I'm still creating and hosting events such as King Of Arkansas, High Rollers Comp, P6 and more. I am also the creator of CrawlerCast, a podcast/content brand covering events and news in the hobby. Lastly I am also a Team Driver for LT Kustoms and I couldn't be more honored to also drive for Dlux Fab.

Mike McGinley

I'm a hard working husband and father of 3. I've been crawling competitively since 2018. I served in the US Army National Guard and have been doing HVAC for almost 20 years. I started out competing in Sorrca and attended Super Shafty Fall Crawl in 2022, and shortly after fell in love with WRCCA. My 1st high level WRCCA competition was 2023 World's. I love every aspect of competition crawling, from the comradery formed to helping people. Whether it's with build advice, assisting with events or just straight up helping a fellow enthusiast. I'm here to stay lol. Can't wait to see where this hobby goes and that lies journey ahead.

Scott Chesick

Hello y'all, I've been rc crawling for 4 years now, I came from the full size off road world. I enjoy crawling anything from 6th scale to 30th . My favorite part of this hobby is the adventures you end up on and the people you meet.

Jason Reeff

Jason Reeff from Washington State, recently moved to southern California. Been crawling for six years and have traveled and completed in the AZ shootout, New Mexico championships and nationals at cougar buttes. Honored to have Dlux as a sponsor along with the other companies that believe I can help promote there brand.

Piotr Gorzkiewicz

Half Polish 🇵🇱/ half Norwegian 🇳🇴 😅 In crawling from 2019, in WRCCA comps from 2023. I love Super class 😁

Travis Smash

I'm Travis from San Diego CA. I'm a mechanic & metal fabricator so it's big trucks in the mornings, little trucks in the evenings. I enjoy the hobby with my 12-year-old son and the incredible people in the local group I founded called San Diego RC Crawlers. Our group is extremely active with weekly Friday night runs, weekend events, camping trips, & we also host our own comp series. I compete in Class 1, 2, & 3 in our local So Cal series. Catch me on my Youtube channel, @SmashLabRC, & I'm @Travis.Smash on Instagram.

Ben Freibert

Im located in Tucson, Arizona. I started RC crawling in 2020. I decided to start WRCCA competition crawling in 2023. I really enjoy going out with friends for practice and going to WRCCA competitions. I have always preferred to use Dlux Fab products due to their amazing performance.

DAVE CAPE

I’ve been crawling since around 2008 and competing nationally since 2010. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to earn several podium finishes, including winning Worlds in 2023. What keeps me coming back isn’t just the competition, but the challenge, creativity, and community that make crawling such a great hobby.

Aaron Silva

Hello everyone, You all might know me by Double A but my name is Aaron! I’ve been crawling for over 15 years now. My son and I got into it in 2011 when I got my first car, an axial wraith. At my first comp I met a man named Randy Doshier who fished me into NARCCA, our local club. He invited me to start crawling with him, and the rest is history. I could list my awards and placements as my biggest accomplishments, but more so I enjoy the reward of getting to meet all kinds of like-minded people and at the same time make new friends while traveling to WRCCA events across the country. I also get to be an event organizer for the AZ Summer Shootout! The biggest part of RC isn’t driving the best, or having the most capable car, it’s about having a good time with my RC friends. I am honored to be a team driver for DLUX and excited to see how it goes this year!

Pete Morris

Hey Everyone I’m Pete, from Australia 😎 I’ve been around crawling for the last 20 years. Love building, driving and creating, but most of all just love hanging out with this amazing bunch of characters. I drive all the WRCCA classes, plus Aussie Tuff-Truck and Scale 1. I guess I have won a few things along the way but that’s always just the bonus at the end of the days fun. Can’t wait to meet more people out on the rocks and see where this next RC adventure takes me 🤘🏼 -Aussie Pete 🇦🇺

Makayla Holstein

Hi, I’m Makayla, and I’m passionate about RC crawling and the community that surrounds it. The people are what keep me coming back/ Whether I’m on the rocks, just lending a hand, or capturing memories through photos and YouTube. I’m proud to run Dlux gear and support a brand that reflects the integrity, quality, and culture I value in the hobby.

Kevin Crews

I started crawling in 2006. That same year, I founded our local club MNRCRC. Ever since, I have been hosting local competitions and scale events in the community. My focus lately, has been WRCCA comps, both locally and nationally. I love the challenge of a good course! I'm honored to be part of Team Dlux, and look forward to working together to make this crawler community even better than it already is!

Scott Manis

I am a Southern California based RC enthusiast who has been playing with cars and trucks for over two decades. While I’ve played with a variety of different vehicles, crawlers are what stuck. There is something exhilarating about running six-minute courses, a technical challenge that carries over into my work as an engineer designing spaceship interiors. When I’m not out crawling, I spend most of my time playing with my daughter, golfing, hiking, and watching football and baseball.

Brian Imholte

I started competitive RC rock crawling in the fall of 2023 with Minnesota RC Rock Crawlers (MNRCRC) and quickly got totally hooked on the sport. What began as a new challenge turned into a full-blown obsession. For me, it’s not just about competition, it’s about meeting new people, building friendships, and experiencing new places. I am constantly pushing myself to improve skills and knowledge and cannot wait to see where this sport takes me.

Chindris Horatiu

From mud to rock, I’m here to represent Dlux on the toughest terrain. From the deepest mud to the hardest climbs.

Karl Berger

Hello, My name is Karl Berger and I come from Austria. The greatest passion for me is Rock Crawling. I´m very proud to be a part of this team.

Kyle Pearson

I started RC rock crawling about three years ago with a Redcat Gen 8 and instantly fell in love with the hobby. At an indoor comp at Jason's house, I met the Dlux guys and was blown away by what a real crawler could do, so I knew I had to progress with them. Now, I just have fun while striving to be a podium finisher.

John Metzgar

I have been in the RC hobby since 2017, starting off in the offroad racing niche, where I quickly fell in love with not only the competitive factor, but the camaraderie with fellow racers. Having a background in 1:1 off-roading, I quickly ventured to the crawler side of RC, combining the childhood hobby of building models with the off-roading dynamics of off-roading. From that point onwards it spiraled into an addiction of building trucks and hosting events. Ive been fortunate to spend the better half of the last decade surrounded by an extremely talented group of local guys always pushing each other to grow, as we travel the country to compete at the highest level. It’s definitely taken a whole bag of luck to continuously bring home hardware from events all over, and I look forward to showcasing why Dlux Fab is THE company to accommodate all your crawler needs.

Chris Amita

Hi, I’m Chris a dedicated competitor in the RC crawling scene, a proud team driver, and the creator of RC HobbyFilms, where I capture moments, share the passion, builds and creativity. Outside of RC, I work as a RN bringing focus, teamwork and heart to everything I do!

Dino

Where do I start haha well I come from 15+ years of racing 1/10 and 1/8. Started a family and life had to slow down and so naturally so did RC. Thats where crawlers came in. No more 8+ hour race days or full weekends. Crawlers I could grab a truck and hit some local spots for a few hours and be happy. So now thats all I do is crawlers I mainly comp micros but I do have a fully kitted vrd carbon on a brazin hardline chassis and love to freestyle hardline always pushing me and my rigs to the limits! Come check out my Instagram to see the adventure we'll take! Socials are siouxbeast on all platforms.

Derrick Pierog

Hello my name is Derrick but everyone calls me Booster Seat or just Booster. I have been in the RC community for approximately 7 years with my first couple years being indoor carpet racing. I made the switch to crawling and never looked back. I started off with RTRs and quickly learned and starting building my own custom rigs. I wouldn’t know what I know today without the help of others. It’s always been in my personality to help others and find myself helping those who are less experienced or just can’t figure something out. I love the crawling community. In my free time you can find me building and tinkering in my RC shop. I am a US Distributor for MLC carbon Fiber bodies and sell some other products as well. I am the founder of The Great American RC Crawl. Running this event has become my passion. But I couldn’t do it without my team. I enjoy the trails as much as I enjoy the comp scene. I would like to travel more and make more national events (I need help convincing my fiancé on this one). I am always up for some friendly chats or here to help anyone with build questions.

Lukas Klein

My name is Lukas Klein, son of Karl Klein. I’ve been in the hobby since I was 4 years old and now being 18. I have been into off road for as long as I can remember from 1/24 to 1/1 crawlers. I am always willing to help others even if it means taking parts off my own rig. I’m a very competitive driver that strives for more each comp.

Travis Rake

41, Husband, and father of 5 little girls based out of southern indiana. My crawling journey started back in 2009 with a rig called the axial dingo. It quickly became my new addiction and has remainded that way for the last 17 years. Im the founder of POIZD RC and absolute performance is always my goal, while also maintaining a very specific look. Over the last year and a half, comp buggies have become my absolute obsession. .

Mitch Andrews

I’ve been involved in RC for over 20 years, exploring different parts of the hobby and constantly learning along the way. Over time I found myself drawn to rock crawling — not just for the technical challenge of building and tuning rigs, but for the creativity and problem-solving it brings. Crawling has also introduced me to an incredible community. The friendships, shared knowledge, and support within the hobby mean just as much to me as competition. I’m always working to improve as both a builder and driver, and I’m grateful to be part of a group that pushes each other to get better.

Montana Strait

I'm Montana Strait, and I have been into all forms of land RC for quite a few years. About 5 years ago, I jumped back into the world of crawlers with the "gateway" SCX24. Currently, I compete with the MNRCRC guys and try to get out on the trails with my scale truck when I can!

Shawn Harney

I’m passionate about building and competing in radio-controlled rock crawling, and just as passionate about the people who make up this incredible community. Whether it’s hitting the rocks with friends, helping with admin tasks, or promoting fellowship within the RC crawling scene, I’m always happy to lend a hand wherever I can. I’m honored to represent Dlux Fab and their top-tier products, and I take pride in fostering a sportsmanlike attitude, respectful conduct, and a positive environment both on and off the course.

Keil Carlson

I've been doing rc since I was a kid. Started crawling about 6 years. Very quickly got into competing and organizing large group events. Recently got sucked into micro and mini. Also been organizing swap meets and doing appraisals.
